Queensland is bordered by the Bow River on the east, and by neighbouring communities by all other sides. Bow Bottom Trail provides convenient access to Deerfoot Trail.

Downtown is 19 minutes / 20.2 km away via Deerfoot Trail.

The community has access to transit via the Canyon Meadows and Fish Creek LRT stations on the Red Line. Service to Canyon Meadows is provided by the 29 bus route. The future Green Line LRT will also stop nearby at the planned Douglas Glen station, which will be situated 2 km away across the Bow River.

Calgary International Airport is 22 minutes / 30.9 km away via Deerfoot Trail.
