Silverado is a modern residential suburban community in the deep southwest of Calgary. One of four southern communities established below Highway 22X, Silverado was established in 2005. It is sandwiched between the world class equestrian facility of Spruce Meadows on the west and Macleod Trail on the east. The proximity to Highway 22x, Macleod Trail, Deerfoot Trail, and the Ring Road means this seemingly far flung community is better connected than most. Homes for sale in Silverado are primarily single family detached homes, with some low rise apartments and townhouses available. A commercial district within the community provides for many shopping needs, and great road connectivity means other shopping amenities are never inconvenient. Silverado is perfect for those who live for the outdoors, few communities in Calgary have such great access to Kananaskis Country and all the more secluded wilderness areas to the south. Living in Silverado means feeling like you have space to breathe as the community is currently not surrounded by built up areas.
