Fairview is a conveniently located SE Calgary community that is bordered by MacLeoad Trail on the west, Glenmore Trail on the north, Blackfoot Trail on the east, and Heritage Drive on the south. Easy access to these major routes make Fairview one of the most underrated communities for an easy commute in the city, by car or transit.

The community was built up in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s.  This means the lots are large and the houses traditional.  If you are looking for space to stretch out while still being close to the action, Fairview might be the spot for you.

Downtown is a 12 minute drive up MacLeod Trail.

Fairview is well connected to major transit routes. The Blue Line is accessible by both Heritage Station and Chinook Station. Major bus routes such as the 10, Circle Route 72/3, and the 3 are also a short walk away.

Calgary International Airport is a 20 minute drive via Deerfoot Trail.

Fairview Health Access

Rockyview General Hospital is 10 minutes away and is the closest major medical centre.  Peter Lougheed is 22 minutes to the north, the South Health Campus 20 minutes to the south, and Foothills Medical Centre is 25 minutes to the northwest.

Fairview Shopping and Amenities

Fairview is an exceptionally positioned community with access to many of Calgary’s prime shopping and leisure destinations.  

Chinook Centre is less than 10 minutes away, and as the premier shopping destination in Calgary you will love having it on your doorstep.  Deerfoot Meadows is also only 10 minutes in the other direction, expanding your shopping options considerably.  Not to mention the expanse of commercial and retail options available along the length of MacLeod Trail – you’ll have all your favourite stores within 10 minutes living in Fairview.

Heritage Park can be accessed with a quick trip down Heritage Drive, providing a wonderful option for an easy weekend escape for the family.  Glenmore Reservoir also boasts one of the most beautiful bike paths in the city that encircles the picturesque reservoir.  Both of these spots have been Calgary favourites for decades, and in Fairview they are both minutes away.
