Lake Bonavista is a large South Calgary community that was originally built up in 1967. This was the original Calgary ‘lake community’, and set the standard for the many lake communities that followed. This amazing family centric community has a population of 10,381 and offers the best of suburban Calgary living.

Lake Bonavista is located central south Calgary, bounded by Macleod Trail and Anderson Trail. This intersection of major roads provides good access to other major arteries, as well as transit connections.

Downtown is a 23 minute / 13.1 km drive up MacLeod Trail. Transit access is provided by proximity to both the Canyon Meadows and Anderson LRT stations on the Red Line. Bus route 10 also provides access to MacLeod Trail, leaving from Anderson Station.

Calgary International Airport is 20 minute / 30.1 km drive away via Deerfoot Trail.

The community is equally distant from two major medical centres. Rockyview General Hospital is 15 min / 8.6 km away, and the South Health Medical Campus is 15 min / 15.7 km away.
