Ogden/Lynwood Community Information

Ogden is a Calgary heritage community, first established in 1912 to provide housing for workers in the CPR rail yard. Recently, Canadian Pacific Railroad moved their corporate headquarters here.   Lynnwood is a district within the community of Ogden as opposed to an established community itself. It comprises the southern portion of Ogden.  Built up in 1912, Lynnwood has a mix of older character homes and modern infills meaning there is something for everybody here.

Ogden life is inner-city enough to feel close to the action, but also tucked away enough when you need a break from the hustle. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything; character homes where you feel connected to the past alongside modern new-comers providing an eclectic mix to suit anyone’s taste.

There is a large population in Ogden / Lynnwood / Millican Estates (the latter two are districts within Ogden) with over 8,000 residents. Residents come from all walks of life and include a mix of demographics and lifestyles.
