Woodbine Community Information
Woodbine is a large residential community in South Calgary established in 1980. It is located south of Anderson Road and north of Fish Creek Provincial Park. The T’suu Tina Nation is on the western border – meaning both the western and southern surrounding areas are protected from development. There are 9,162 people living in 3,320 dwellings in Woodbine, 90% of these dwellings are occupied by the owner. 87% of the homes here are single family detached houses and 10% are townhouses. Fish Creek Provincial Park is on the community’s southern border, putting this favourite Calgary destination in your backyard. Shopping amenities are provided by Southcentre Mall, less than a 10 minute drive away. Transit downtown is provided by feeder bus routes connecting residents to Anderson LRT Station. This community is among those that stand to gain the most value from the completion of the Ring Road, which will pass by Woodbine’s western edge. Once finished construction, this route will cut travel times to the NW in half, and vastly improve access to other major routes for Woodbine residents. Woodbine’s location put in an optimal position for enjoying the natural beauty of Kananaskis Country and Bragg Creek, a short trip from Woodbine down Highway 22X.
