Officially opened in January 2019 the new Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton is so much more than just a fitness centre. While this new centre offers all the amenities one can normally expect from a YMCA, this 330,000 square foot facility serves as a hub of healthy living, which is quickly becoming one of the biggest pillars of Seton living.

Surrounded by the high school, a regional park and the southeast LRT this new YMCA facility offers something for every member of the family. The Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton boasts a 10 lane pool, 25,000 square foot library, multiple skating rinks, a 250-seat theatre and even a huge indoor surfing pool.

The FlowRider surf simulator is Calgary’s first, and one of the most popular stationary surfing machines. The inflatable ride surface is perfect for riders of all ages and offers 400 square feet of ride surface. Newbie and advanced riders alike have plenty of room to shred and test new tricks.

The Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton doesn’t just focus on a healthy body but a healthy mind as well, with a 23,000 square foot full-service regional library located inside the YMCA. The library offers spaces for connecting, reading and learning with plenty of space for teens, bookable meeting spaces and early learning zones. The library also has a large collection of resources and interactive technology.
